Attack Shoot Down Spitfires

Owen Sound beats Windsor 3-2 to take a commanding lead in OHL West Final.

The Owen Sound Attack can win the Wayne Gretzky Trophy and the OHL Western Conference title on home ice.

The Attack beat the Spitfires in Windsor 3-2 last night to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best of seven series.

Roman Berdnikov, Robby Mignardi and OHL Player of the Week Garrett Wilson all scored for the Attack while Scott Stajcer made 28 saves in the win.

Windsor goalie Jack Campbell made 40 saves for the Spitfires, holding them in for their late rally.

Windsor did not have Zack Kassian in the lineup -- the OHL will announce his suspension on Tuesday.

The Attack have a chance to eliminate the two-time defending OHL and Memorial Cup champion at the Lumley Bayshore on Wednesday night -- game time is 7 o'clock.
