Attack Go Whaling

Plymouth, MI | by Jon Meyer

Owen Sound is in Plymouth for Game 2 of their OHL West Semifinal tonight.

The Owen Sound Attack are set to go Whaling in Plymouth.

Game two of their OHL Western Conference Semifinal goes tonight in Plymouth.

Following an impressive Game 1 for both the Attack and Whalers in Owen Sound ON Thursday night -- a game the Attack won 4-3 in overtime -- the two clubs play Game 2 at the Compuware Centre at 7:05 PM.

Every game the two clubs have played this year has been decided by a single goal.

Attack Head Coach Mark Reeds says his defence learned quickly Thursday night of the power of Plymouth's team speed.

He says the Whalers forechecking is different than London's was in the first round but they're going to make adjustments.

The Attack fired 58 shots at Scott Wedgewood Thursday and since the start of the playoffs, Owen Sound has fired 326 shots total.

On the other side, Attack netminder Michael Zador left Thursday's game after two periods with what appeared to be a stomach ailment.

No official word on who will start in net for the Attack tonight.

Reeds says it will be a game time decision.

In the OHL Eastern Conference semifinals -- the Niagara Ice Dogs are in Oshawa tonight to take on the Generals.

The Ice Dogs lead the series 1-0 after winning 2-1 in the first game of the series.
