Robotics Challenge in Grey Bruce

About 100 students compete for different categories at Robotics Challenge today.


The 12th annual "Robotics Challenge" takes place today at Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton.

Around 100 secondary students from throughout the Bluewater District School Board are competing for top honours in three categories.

The teams will turn lego robotics kits into programmable and autonomous robots.

Judges will grade their robots ability to perform designated tasks.

For example; Grade 9 and 10 students will design battle robots that can push their opponents robot off a four foot ring.

The challenge for Grade 11 and 12 students is to collect as many ping pong balls of a specific colour in an allotted time.

For the 12th year, Bruce Telecom has donated cash prizes for the winners.

The challenge runs from 10:30AM to 1:30PM.
