The Sports Page is brought to by the Owen Sound Attack and the " Attack Shack " Merchandise Shop in the main lobby of the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Center.

The Attack Shack is staging the " Impale the Whale " Sale throughout the next round of the playoffs.



Ontario Hockey League Playoffs

Western Conference Quarterfinal

Windsor Spitfires 5 Erie Otters 4

Tom Kuhnhackl scored twice, including the winner with 2 minutes remaining in the game

The Spitfires win the best of 7; 4-3 & now advance to the Western semifinals against the Saginaw Spirit



The dates are set for the Western Conference semifinal between the Owen Sound Attack & Plymouth Whalers

Game 1 in the series is tomorrow night at 7 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore ( period updates from Larry Cook Sales representative @ Remax )

Game 2 is Saturday at Plymouth ( 6:50 air time for Grey Motors Bearadio on CFOS )

In the dispute over the date for Game 4, the OHL sided with the Plymouth Whalers and Game 4 will be Wednesday at the Compuware Arena

Zador Award

The Canadian Hockey League announced that Owen Sound Attack netminder Michael Zador is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week

Zador stopped all 48 shots he faced over the weekend as the Attack eliminated London in the opening round of the OHL Playoffs

Zador blanked the London Knights 1-0 Sunday to clinch the first round series victory over his former club, one night after going most of the way in another shutout victory over the Knights.


Attack Season Ticket Holders must pick up their seats for Game 1 of the Plymouth series by 1 pm this afternoon.

After 1 pm, all unclaimed tickets will be available for sale to the General Public


The Owen Sound Attack Pak is taking a bus to Plymouth on Saturday for Game 2 of the series.

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks host the Monkton Wildcats Friday at the Plex in Port Elgin in the opener of their best of 7 Final

Rock Trip

A bus trip has been organized to see the Toronto Rock game on FRIDAY against the Buffalo Bandits.

Two coaches will going, departing from Lion's Head at 2:30 pm, Wiarton at 3 pm with a pick up in Owen Sound at 3:30 pm

The cost of the trip & game ticket is $ 60
