Western Region Ringette

City Novice Proudly Represents Owen Sound
The Owen Sound Extreme Bayshore Skate Sharpening Novice had a great end to their season earning a silver medal in the championship game at Western Regionals this weekend in Guelph.  This silver medal is added to two tournament gold medals, another tournament silver medal, and an Eastern Conference championship banner.
It wasn't an easy road to the gold medal game.  Owen Sound defeated Elora Fergus 10-5, but then lost to St. Mary's 6-4, and tied London 5-5.  But with one point more than London, Owen Sound came out second, earning them a spot to compete in the gold medal game.  Owen Sound met St. Mary's again, but ran out of steam and came up short with a score of 8-2.  Coaches and parents were tremendously proud of the team, who worked together, encouraged each other, and represented Owen Sound proudly.
