Big Band Rocks Owen Sound

The Canadian Big Band is coming to Owen Sound for its debut performance tonight.

The Canadian Big Band is coming to Owen Sound for it's debut performance.

It will feature world renowned jazz vocalist "Aura", who tours internationally with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

The band also features musicians who have worked with the likes of Michael Buble, Diana Krall, and Tony Bennett.

Local musician Charlie Bell is also involved with the band through his association with the annual Canadian Big Band Celebration held in Port Elgin and Southampton.

Bell expects the debut performance to be a memorable one featuring world class jazz musicians.

The Canadian Big Band will be directed by trumpet and jazz legend Don Johnson - who is also the founder of the Humber College Jazz Program in Toronto.

The concert happens at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound on March 27th at 7:30 PM.

Admission is 30 dollars and you can reserve your seats by calling the box office.
