Minor Hockey Results

Midget Girls


 The TCDMHA Town & Country Garden Centre Midget C Rebel Girls kicked off
 round 2 of their OWHA provincial playdowns Sunday night with a 2-2 tie
 against the Tiverton Thunder.  Scoring for the Rebels were Kaitlyn
 Patchell and McKenna Yost.  Carly Smith and Meleesa Carr scored the goals
 for Tiverton.
 The Rebels played host to the Saugeen Shores Storm Monday night.  It was a
 battle back and forth with the game ending in another 2-2 tie.  Scoring
 this time for the Rebels were Nicole Ballagh-Evans and Courtney Torrie.
 Sarah Thornburn and McKenzie Brown were each able to put one past Rebels
 netminder Michelle McNabb.
 The Rebels travel to Lions Head on Thursday night for their third and
 deciding game. 

 


Lightning & Ravens Deadlocked

The Saugeen Maitland Midget Lightning AA's outshot the Waterloo Ravens 24 - 4 but could only come away with a 0-0 tie in game #1 of their Lower Lakes League, 2nd round playoff series.  Picking up the shutout for the Lightning was goaltender, Stephanie Sluys.  Game #2 takes place in Waterloo on Friday, March 4th.

 


WOAA Midget

TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Midget Rebels lost to Tiverton 2-1 in a well fought battle.  Justin Tuck scored the goal for the TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Rebels in the first period.  The Rebels held off the Tiverton attack until the third period.  Craig Alexander scored both goals for Tiverton.  Tiverton is currently in first place in the Local League Round Robin 10 game home and away series, while the TCDMHA Rebels are in 3rd place, with 3 games left to play.  Tiverton will go to the Elite finals, and the top Local League team will face the winner of the South division for the Championship series.

 

AAA Bantam

The Grey-Bruce Garb & Gear Highlanders lost 4-3 to the Brampton Jr. Battalion & 5-1 to the
Grey-Bruce Highlanders Guelph Jr. Storm

 


AAA Peewee

The Grey-Bruce Highlanders lost 2-0 to the Guelph Jr. Storm & 3-1 to the Brampton Jr. Battalion

Game Notes
Derick Acheson scored the lone marker for the Albion Amusement/Geosmart Energy peewees.  This was the last home game of the season for the boys.  They will host the SCTA qualifier in Owen Sound March 11-13.

 


WOAA Peewee

On Saturday The TCDMHA Desboro Garage Peewee LL Rebels Headed to Shallow Lake to take on the Lakers. in Playoff action. The Rebels Won 7-1.
 
Scoring for the Rebels was Jeremy Skippen With a Hat Trick, Connor Bye with 2, and singles by Will McNabb and Kyle Fry.
 
Scoring for the Lakers was Luke Dailey.
