From the N-H-L, Toronto snapped a tie late in the 3rd to beat the N-Y Islanders 2-1 in one of 10 games last night. Elsewhere, Montreal topped Vancouver 3-2. The Canucks remain first overall in the N-H-L. Boston were 3-1 winners over Calgary while Edmonton dropped a 4-1 decision to Minnesota.

6 games in N-H-L action tonight. Ottawa hosts Florida while Edmonton visits Colorado. The Leafs are off.

In Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Junior C playoff action, Game 3 between Penetang and Alliston goes tonight in Alliston at 7:30. Alliston holds a 2-nothing lead in the series. Game 2 between Stayner & Erin goes tomorrow night in Stayner. The Siskins have a 1-nothing series lead.

From the N-B-A, the Toronto Raptors dropped their 11th straight on the road. The Bobcats cruised past the Raptors 114-101 in Charlotte.

The Raptors are back in Toronto tonight hosting the Chicago Bulls at 7:00 in one of 12 games on the hardwood.

And, in Curling news… Saskatchewan's Amber Holland is the only skip with a perfect record at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown. Holland is now 7-and-oh, while Ontario’s Rachel Homan is 6-and-1. Team Canada's Jennifer Jones is in 3rd at 5-and-2.
