The Calgary Flames are suddenly the hottest team in the Western Conference. Calgary won its fourth straight after beating St. Louis 4-1. Their Albertan rivals are heading into the all-star break with a loss. The Edmonton Oilers were defeated 3-1 on the road in Dallas. Vancouver picked up a 2-1 win over the visiting Nashville Predators.

There’s no N-H-L action tonight as they gear up for the All-Star Game in Carolina Sunday afternoon.

In local O-H-L action, the Barrie Colts will try to snap a 7-game losing skid when they visit the Petes in Peterborough tonight.

Local Junior C hockey has the Stayner Siskins hosting Caledon tonight at the Stayner Memorial Arena.

On the hardwood last night, Yet another defeat for the Toronto Raptors. They lost for the 9th straight time 107-94 to Philly. Elsewhere in the N-B-A, New Orleans won its 10th straight, 112-103 over Golden State.
 

Just 3 games in the N-B-A tonight. The Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics are on the road against Portland. The Miami Heat try to gain some ground on Boston when they face New York. Houston visits Dallas in the other game. Toronto has the day off.
