Kitchener @ Attack Tonight

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

First Place In The MidWest Up For Grabs

The Owen Sound Attack host the Kitchener Rangers tonight in Ontario Hockey League action.

The Attack are first in the Midwest Division with 60 points, 2 more than Kitchener.

However, the Rangers have played 3 less games than Owen Sound.

Owen Sound Attack coach Mark Reeds admits tonight is a big game for his club, but he relates the Attack also need to approach this game the same way they would any other match in the season.

This will be the 5th meeting of the season between the two clubs.

Owen Sound has won 3 and lost once head to head with Kitchener.

The Attack anticipate they will have a full & healthy lineup tonight with both Jesse Blacker and Joey Hishon scheduled to play

Hishon and Blacker missed Sunday's overtime win over Windsor

Reeds says the Attack needs to play with the same energy they had against Windsor when they face the Rangers tonight

Reports out of Kitchener indicate Gabriel Landeskog, the top rated North American Junior for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, will not be in the Ranger lineup this evening.

The Kitchener based reports indicate Landeskog is expected back in the Ranger lineup for the weekend

Game time for the Attack & Kitchener is 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore

( Footnote- tonight is another 560 CFOS-Mercury's Night with the families of former Mercury's Doug Gillespie & Pat McReavy expected to participate in the ceremonial puck drop )
