Attack Rout Ice Dogs

Owen Sound picks up 11-1 road win.

The Owen Sound Attack made easy work of the Niagara Ice Dogs Thursday night.

Kaleb Pearson had a hat trick as the Attack routed the Ice Dogs 11-1 in Ontario Hockey League action at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines.

The Attack won their second straight and moved past the Guelph Storm for sixth in the OHL's Western Conference.

Aidan Dudas and Brady Lyle each added a pair of goals for Owen Sound, while Ethan Burroughs, Sergey Popov, Matthew Struthers and Deni Goure also scored.

Cameron Butler had the lone goal for Niagara.

Mack Guzda made 15 saves in the win, while Andrew MacLean stopped 36 taking the loss. Owen Sound outshot Niagara 47-16 while going 0 for 4 on the power play; Niagara finished 1 for 1.

The Attack (24-19-3-3) play their next game Saturday on the road against the Erie Otters (21-18-3-6).
