Who's Striking When?

Ontario | by Bayshore News Staff

Different school boards will be affected by separate strikes next week.

With every teachers union in the province now involved in job action, it can be hard to keep track of who's striking when!

Elementary teachers across the province will be holding THREE strikes next week.

Toronto, York Region and Ottawa-Carleton (ETFO)

Superior Greenstone, Renfrew, Grand Erie, and Trillium Lakelands (ETFO)

Simcoe County Secondary Schools and Adult Learning Centres (OSSTF)

All Grade 7 and 8 students at Elmvale District High School and Stayner Collegiate Institute will still report to school for classes as usual.

*Please note that all SCDSB elementary schools will remain OPEN to students on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

All SMCDSB elementary and secondary schools will be closed.

The city of Barrie is offering day camps to families who may be impacted by school closures.

Wye Marsh is also offering a pop-up day camp on Tuesday.

The third ETFO strike will involve: Rainy River District School Board, Thames Valley District School Board, and Rainbow District School Board.
