Two Petrolia teens have a lot of explaining to do, after being charged in connection with a vehicle theft from the Lambton County community.
OPP say a gasoline theft was reported a short time later, and the vehicle matched the description of the stolen pick-up truck.
Less than 90 minutes later, the vehicle was stopped by OPP in Middlesex County, who arrested the driver and passenger.
Investigators say the driver gave a false name, and that two cruisers sustained minor damage.
A 16 year-old and a 13 year-old are charged with theft of a motor vehicle, and theft under $5,000.
The 16 year-old faces nine additional counts including possession of stolen property over $5,000, obstruct a peace officer, break and enter, and three counts each of fail to comply with recognizance and fail to comply with a judicial release under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
