Former NHL stars are set to face off against local law enforcement in the annual NHL Alumni Benefit Hockey game in Owen Sound tonight.
The fundraising game is in support of Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run. It will also feature an on-ice skills competition and light-hearted pranks by the former NHL players.
Among the former NHL skaters competing in the Owen Sound stop on the Scotiabank NHL Alumni Tour are: three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Edmonton Oilers Mike Krushelnyski, two-time cup champion Mark Napier and former Toronto Maple Leafs and Owen Sound native Nathan Perrott, father of current Attack blueliner Andrew Perrott.
Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Doors open for the game at 5 p.m.
