Ontario Catholic Teachers to Take Job Action

Regional | by Jill Young

Monday January 13th is when the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association could take administrative job action.

Administrative job action will be happening Monday by Ontario’s English Catholic teachers.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) said they have bargaining dates with the province tomorrow and Friday, January 9th and 10th.

If no deal is reached, they will start job action on Monday January 13th, that includes not participating in standardized testing, doing report cards or taking part in Ministry of Education initiatives.

The union says it will have no impact on student learning.

The Peel District School Board OSSTF members and others around the province are taking part in a one-day strike today.
