The new Markdale hospital is one step closer to having shovels in the ground.
Grey Bruce Health Services says they recently submitted its stage 4.1 documentation to the Ministry of Health.
This step is the second last hoop to jump through before beginning the construction process.
This latest documentation featured over 300 drawings from an architect, outlining the design for in interior and exterior of the building as well new signage.
GBHS says they should be hearing back from the Ministry by the end of spring.
The next step will be to put out Request for Proposals and then awarding a tender.
Currently, the build is estimated at a $65 million cost with construction expected to begin in late 2020 and take two years to complete.
