Bluewater Council faces a major decision surrounding the Bayfield water treatment plant in the New Year.
Mayor Paul Klopp says discussions are under way on possibly expanding the facility, but other concerns have to be addressed first.
He mentions that the plant is full, while additional water is leaking into the system.
Klopp adds that the water leakage is being dealt with, and there's no point in looking at an expansion until the issue is taken care of.
He says additional construction in Bayfield lends urgency to find a solution the the water treatment plant issue.
Bluewater Council earlier this month directed a representative from BM Ross and Associates engineering firm to attend their January 27th meeting, to outline options and potential costing.
Klopp says there is money available in reserve for a study, and questions need to be answered.
