The first legal cannabis retail store in Simcoe County has been unveiled.

Media got a first look inside Sessions Cannabis on Hurontario Street, right at the end of Hume Street, in Collingwood on Friday.

Store owner Louis Laskovski won the licence in the last government lottery.

He says he is really excited to be a part of the Collingwood community and acceptance has been amazing.

Sessions Canada President Steven Fry says he had been successful in the first lottery so he had already gone through all the hurdles and with that experience, has helped Laskovski and has tried to set him up for success.

Laskovski says the focus of this store is on education so people can find out about the products and come to buy safe and reliable products.

Sessions Cannabis Collingwood opens to the public tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 a.m.
