The Province has announced $1.1 million for hospitals within Parry Sound-Muskoka.
It's to maintain their infrastructure and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients to receive care.
Local MPP Norm Miller says the funding will be spent to maintain important things like roofs, windows or heating and air conditioning systems, fire alarms and back-up generators.
The money is part of the government's $175 million investment this year through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund to support 131 hospitals across Ontario.
Today's announcement was made at the West Parry Sound Health Centre.
