Snow Day In Grey Bruce

Grey Bruce | by Claire McCormack

Roads are snowy, school buses are cancelled, some community programs are cancelled.

It's looking like a snow day in Grey Bruce.

All school buses in the Grey and Bruce counties are cancelled.
Edge Hill Country School near Durham is closed today other schools are open.

While things look okay in Owen Sound, it is not the best morning to drive in some areas. For road conditions click HERE

Snow squalls and blowing snow this morning is making visibility poor throughout Grey Bruce. Highway 21 has poor visibility from Owen Sound to Zurich, also on Highway 26 from Owen Sound to Collingwood, and on Highway 6 from Mt Forest all the way to Tobermory.

Visibility can be  reduced to nearly zero at times.

Roads are snow covered and slippery at times, with strong winds as well.

Bruce County has declared a significant weather event due to forecasted or observed weather conditions. The County says people should be careful on County roads, and it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair.

There are a number of community services and programs that are cancelled today.

You can find a live-updated list HERE
