Wasaga Beach | by Bayshore News Staff

Preston has battled brain cancer and is now living with Type 1 Diabetes.

A family friend is trying to raise money to buy a service dog for a little boy in Wasaga Beach.

Preston has battled brain cancer and is now living with Type 1 Diabetes.

The 5 year-old is the grandson of  Rob and Gail Prentice, who are the owners of Poppy's Popcorn.

Preston needs a service dog that can sense when his sugar levels are dangerously high or low, but would cost about 20-25 thousand dollars.

Family friend Paul Kemps is a member of the Wasaga Beach Poker League, which has already raised $6,000.
