It appears three Saugeen Shores parks are going to get some playground upgrades.
Community Services Director Jayne Jagelewski, says at council's session on December 3rd, council approved an expenditure of $206,000 for replacement of playground equipment.
The three parks affected are Nodwell, Waterloo and Pierson parks, all located in Port Elgin.
Jagelewski states many of the existing playgrounds are reaching the 25 year range and more and more parts of the playgrounds are being taped off due to equipment failure.
She says once the budget is officially approved in February, they will put out a call for Request for Proposals and hope to have the new equipment in place next summer.
