Orangeville Police have charged a man following the theft of a poppy donation box.
Authorities were called at around 9:35pm Monday night to the Tim Hortons on First Street.
Staff reported a man taking the Royal Canadian Legion poppy donation box that was on the counter while they were out of sight.
Then the next day, the same man tried taking another poppy box from the Circle K Convenience Store also on First Street.
An employee saw the man and stopped him before he could take it.
Later that day, at around 3:30pm, the suspect tried to steal around $70.00 worth of items from Zehrs on Fourth Avenue.
He was stopped by a loss prevention officer but escaped their custody.
Orangeville Police found the suspect on Thursday, October 31st walking on Bythia Street where he was arrested.
They charged 21 year old Andre Baluse with three counts of Theft Under $5000.
He was also charged with Escape Lawful Custody and Possession of Cocaine.
