First Snowfall Of The Season In Grey Bruce

Grey Bruce | by Claire McCormack

Many of us in Grey Bruce have snowy lawns this morning, and slushy roads.

Some blowing flurries could make your drive take a little longer and if you don't have winter tires, you might feel it.

Plows are out with salt and sand.

We're supposed to get 2-4 cms of Snow ending this morning then a chance of flurries or rain.

Winds gusting up to 80 km per hour should diminis by about half later today.

There were bus cancellations in the area, and St. Edmund's School in Tobermory as well as Normanby school were closed due to power outages.

About 850 customers are without power around Tobermory, with an estimated restoration time of noon.

Crews have been working in Sauble Beach and Balmy Beach as well as Balaclava, Ayton, Kilsyth, Cape Croker and south of Williamsford there are no estimated times yet for those outages.
