Power Is Back On In Collingwood Area

Hydro One and Epcor had reported over 82 hundred homes and businesses were affected today.

The power is back on in the Collingwood area.

Hydro One and Epcor had reported over 82 hundred homes and businesses in parts of Collingwood, Nottawa, Stayner to New Lowell and Creemore, and the Sunnidale Corners area were affected by an unscheduled outage today (Wednesday). It was caused by the loss of supply on an incoming high voltage feeder line.

Several Simcoe County District School Board Schools were without power and use of phone lines.

They include Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Admiral Collingwood ES, Mountain View PS and Shanty Bay PS. 

The Collingwood Public Library is closed for the rest of today because of the power outage.
