The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is warning it will close all of its schools Monday, if a strike by education support workers moves ahead.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees has threatened strike action at the start of next week, if a deal is not reached between the union and the Ministry of Education.
CUPE represents 55 thousand custodians, clerical workers and early childhood educators.
Officials with the Avon Maitland District School Board say they will not be affected by the impending strike, as CUPE does not represent workers in the region's public schools.
Talks between CUPE and the province are expected to resume Friday.
