The Heritage Place Shopping Centre in Owen Sound is getting a shoe store.
The Canadian Shoe Outlet is set to move into the mall by December 1st.
Shopping Centre General Manager Michelle Schleimer says the store will offer a selection of brand name shoes at competitive prices, "We're thrilled to have them here. We're lucky to be able to get them into the centre before Christmas."
Schleimer also notes there are a number of stores coming back to Heritage Place for the holiday season. They include Just Cozy which opened this past Saturday and sells fluffy reading socks, scarves and leggings of all different colours and designs.
She says Calendar Club, which sells games, puzzles and calendars will be in the mall in time for Thanksgiving.
Schleimer says Collingwood-based Serendipity Candle will be back this season with their all-natural soy based candles. Some of their candle scents have local names like Blue Mountain Air, Bruce Trail Hiker, Wasaga Sands and Tobermory Trail.
They'll also have a line of Christmas cards this year.
Through The Looking Glass, which Schleimer says has been a holiday staple for about 20 years, will be back. There you'll be able to find candles, crafts, ornaments and other Christmas things.
Of course, Leon's Furniture and Appliances is moving into the old Sears location with the hope of being in by Thanksgiving weekend.
As for some of the other stores, Schleimer explains Bluenotes is owned by the same company as Urban Planet, "Although the Bluenotes store is closing, the same product is in the Urban Planet store."
She explains the case is the same for Suzy Shier which is the same company. "All those products you would have gotten at those stores, you'll be able to get at Urban Planet."
