Driver Who Stopped To Help Was Assaulted

Police in Caledon are investigating after a driver who stopped to help someone, was allegedly assaulted.

Police in Caledon are investigating after a driver who stopped to help someone, was allegedly assaulted.

OPP say that early on Thursday morning (12:41 am), a driver on Winston Churchill Boulevard was flagged down by someone standing on the side of the road.

When he stopped his car, police say two masked men came out of the wooded area and robbed him of cash and bank cards, assaulted him and smashed his car windows and damaged the body of the vehicle.

The suspects were last seen on motorcycles leaving the area.

One of the men has dark skin, the other two were wearing masks.

These are the only descriptions police have.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

OPP are looking to speak to any other drivers who may have been travelling in the area at the time of this incident. Police are hoping for dash camera footage.
