Speed demon

A driver learned the hard way about the All Hands on Deck safety campaign by South Simcoe Police.

A 32 year old Barrie man learned the hard way about the All Hands on Deck safety campaign by South Simcoe Police.

Around nine this morning,  an officer conducting the safety initiative spotted a car travelling 55 kilometres over the posted speed limint in a Community Safety  Zone near a school on King Street in Cookstown.

The motorist was charged with speeding and stunt driving.

His licence was suspended for seven days and his car impounded for a week.
