Suspects Sought In South Huron Break-Ins

South Huron | by Peter Jackson

OPP say $25,000 in property -- including a van -- was stolen from two homes

Huron OPP are looking for suspects, after two residential break-ins in South Huron.

Investigators tell us both homes were ransacked by thieves, who stole a total of $25 thousand in property.

Police say a basement door was forced at a home on Kirkton Road on Thursday afternoon, and suspects took three long guns, a crossbow, jewellery and credit cards.

OPP say the haul was stuffed into a white 2007 Ford E-250 van, which was then stolen and driven off the property.

Authorities add that a house on Grand Bend Line was entered and trashed a short time later, and suspects again took a number of items.

If you have information on either or both incidents, you're asked to call Huron OPP or CrimeStoppers.
