School starts Tuesday and the Upper Grand District School Board has set out their objectives for the year.
Director of Education Martha Rogers says they are going in four strategic directions in 2019-2020.
Acheiving Excellence, Promoting Well-Being, Ensuring Equity of Access and Opportunity, as well as Enhancing Public Confidence are what they are going to focus on.
Student achievement and well-being are primary goals across the school system.
In those objectives, the board plans on implementing the board's math strategy, focusing on student well-being including mental health and inclusivity iniatives, as well as ensuring their programs and services meet the learning needs of all students.
