A fastball tournament in Canada's Prettiest Town is celebrating a half century this Labour Day weekend.
The annual Labour Day Fastball Tournament kicks off Friday night at 7:00 p.m., at the town's recently renovated Bannister Park.
The Goderich Grizzlies of the Huron County Fastball League will be the host team for the three-day tournament, which ends Sunday.
Sixteen teams will be participating in the 2019 fastball tournament.
Local fastball legends Stan Doherty and Ken “Fluff” Daer will toss the ceremonial first pitch.
The pair played against one another in the tournament's first match, in 1969.
Proceeds from the weekend tournament will benefit #KadeStrong -- a fundraiser to benefit Kade Regier, who is battling Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
