Funding is being given to help downtown businesses in Shelburne, Orangeville, and Grand Valley.
At an announcement Monday August 26th, Dufferin Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones presented the Digital Main Street grant from the provincial government to the Orangeville and Area Small Business Enterprise Centre.
The grant will help small businesses enhance their use of digital tools and techniques to grow and evolve.
A trained specialist will visit small businesses in the downtown of the three communities, at no cost will help them set up a Google Business Profile, conduct a digital assessment, and apply for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant.
There is also 300 grants of $10,000 each available to qualifying municipal or business groups across Ontario to implement local squads of digital vendors to help small businesses.
The initiative is expected to start beginning in September.
