Documentary footage from a team of Goderich filmmakers was front and centre at the world's largest comic book convention.
The team from FauxPop Media were in southern California this week for the San Diego Comic-Con, where sneak-peak footage was revealed for the Netflix series "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" in front of the 7-thousand person Hall H crowd.
Mark Hussey is among the FauxPop filmmakers involved in creating a documentary on the upcoming series, which is a prequel to the 1982 film of the same name.
Hussey says the documentary has been two years in the making, and crew were able to film notable stars with roles in the series, to be released in late August.
Among those interviewed were Simon Pegg, Natalie Dormer, Jason Isaacs, Taron Egerton, and director Louis Leterrier.
Footage was revealed following a panel with Egerton and actor Mark Hamill, who voices the Scientist in the upcoming series.
Hussey says the 10 episode Dark Crystal series will be released August 30th on Netflix, with the documentary featured as the 11th episode.
