A young entrepreneur is ready to re-open an iconic Southampton Restaurant

25 year old James Diadamo is giving a new face to the Lighthouse Restaurant in downtown Southampton which will be opening June 15.

"We're going to have four full time cooks...we're opening on Father's Day Weekend, so it's all hands on deck for the first couple of weeks, so we're well prepared for that," says the owner.

The refurbished restaurant will now seat 82 patrons, has a new kitchen and accessible washrooms.

"The original restaurant only went 60 feet back in this 100 ft building. So what we've done is we've pushed the kitchen right back... and actually over-doubled the capacity of the restaurant... and it's just an open bright concept."

Diadamo says there will be local artwork displayed as well good food and wants the space to have a lighthouse feel.

"We're going to have the greasy stuff, the grand-slam bacon and eggs, and we've kept the Macedonian Omelet." Former owner Wally Savoski will come back for the restaurant opening.

The hours will be 7-3 p.m., on weekends and 8-3 p.m. on weekdays for Breakfast and Lunch and once that is "mastered" Diadamo would like to build that out.
