Tyler Hinam scored twice for the Huskies who are 1 & 1 in the tournament

Rouyn Noranda scored 3 times in the last 4 & 1/2 minutes to move to 1 & 1 in round robin play

After Hinam gave the Huskies a 4-3 lead, Peter Abbandonato & Noah Dobson ( into an empty net ) followed for the Quebec league Champions.

Joel Teasdale & Felix Bibeau also scored in the victory.

Cole Fonstad, Brayden Pachal & Noah Gregor scored for the Western League Champion Raiders.

Tonight,  Guelph Storm ( 1 & 1 ) vs Prince Albert Raiders ( 0 & 2 )

Prince Albert has to beat Guelph tonight, otherwise the Raiders will be eliminated from the tournament

Owen Sound Selects 7 Waterdown Hammer 6 in 8 innings

Matt Wardrop had the game winning rbi in the bottom of the 8th inning driving in Owen Torrie.

Luke Zettel and Kirk Santala combined for victory in the final game as Owen Sound overcame a 5-1 deficit.

The U23 Selects went 6 & 1 at the tournament

Owen Sound will host the OASA Tournament July 5th-7th

In late July, the Junior Selects will be compete at Saskatoon in the National U23 Championship Tournament.

 

 

Lady NorthStars Field Lacrosse

The Owen Sound Tom Hall’s NorthStars Under 19 girls spilt their games in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play, 

Saturday in Guelph.The Tom Hall’s NorthStars defeated Oshawa 5-4.

Kennedy Stauffer scoring 2 goals, and Kenna McKee, Franny Alpajaro, Lauren Radbourne and Ryleigh Elliott Elliott picking up singles. 

Ryleigh Elliott assisted on 4 goals.

In their second matchup, Owen Sound lost to Orillia 12-5. 

Kennedy Stauffer and Ryleigh Elliot both scoring 2 goals and Lauren Radbourne scoring a single.

The team is next in action Saturday May 25 in Kitchener/Waterloo Rim Park.

 


The Owen Sound Hyundai Under 19 B girls won two games in their season opening weekend in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play Saturday in Guelph. 

Hyundai defeated Orangeville 11-1 & beat Orillia 16-3 

The team is next in action Saturday May 25th in Kitchener/Waterloo 

 


The Legacy Ridge Owen Sound NorthStars Under 13A Girl’s Field Lacrosse team played in Guelph in Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse regular season play.

Legacy Ridge Owen Sound NorthStars 13 Oshawa 0

Game MVP was Edyn Beyer who led the attack with 5 goals.

The game MVP was Aleida Nelson who played tenacious defence 

Next Sunday’s games are in Waterloo vs. Kitchener/Waterloo and Toronto Beaches.

 


The Owen Sound MacKinnon Plumbing and Heating Under 13B team played their first two games of the Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse season in Guelph on Sunday. 

In Game 1, Owen Sound faced Orillia 2 and narrowly missed the win in a 3-2 matchup. 

Owen Sound goals were scored by Hannah Davies and Emma Cooper. 

In the second game Owen Sound faced Six Nations, losing 4-1. 

Hailey Feltis scored the lone Owen Sound goal with goalie Mykah Harris backstopping a standout game. 

The U13B squad is next in action Sunday, May 26th when they play Halton Hills 2 and Mimico 2. 

 

 

The Owen Sound Dr. John Shute Under 11 girls won two games in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play Sunday in Guelph. 

 Dr. John Shute defeated Kitchener-Waterloo 5-2 with Madison Walker, Brianna Bisson, Addison McCoubrey, Ainsley Smith and Lily Shute all picking up singles. 

In their second matchup, Owen Sound scored a 14-0 victory over Orangeville. 

Northstars goals were scored by Lily Shute (5), Madison Walker, Addison McCoubrey (2), Adalyn Jackson (3), Lucy Nickel and Mya Good.  

The team is next in action Sunday, May 26 at RIM park in KW. 

 

The Owen Sound Firefighters Under 11A girls were in action for two games in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play Sunday in Guelph. 

The Firefighters were defeated by Orangeville 9-8 with Rory Jex leading the scoring with 3, London Doyle 2, Adassia Clock, Bree Wilkins, Taryn Weppler and Leah Cooper all adding one. 

In their second matchup, Owen Sound lost 10-4 to Oshawa. 

Northstars goals were scored by Leah Cooper, London Doyle, Adassia Clock and Lauren Neil. 

The team is next in action Sunday, May 26 in kitchener/Waterloo

 


The annual Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse Father's day Weekend Classic is June 14-16

All if the Championship Games will be played Sunday June 16th at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre

 

 

There were no games in Junior B Lacrosse yesterday.

The Owen Sound Junior NorthStars will host the Wallaceburg Red Devils Saturday afternoon at 4 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

 

 

The Owen Sound Bug Juice Senior NorthStars have their home opening weekend Saturday night & Sunday afternoon when they host the Ennismore James Gang at the Lumley-Bayshore.
