Vehicle Strikes Hydro Pole in West Grey, Driver Flees

West Grey | by Matt Hermiz

Police look for tips to identify who was driving pick-up truck involved in Tuesday incident.

West Grey Police are trying to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision in southern Grey County earlier this week.

Police say at about 11 p.m. Tuesday officers were called to Concession 16, about one kilometre east of Grey Road 10, after a vehicle struck a hydro pole.

Upon arrival, officers located a 2002 Ford Ranger truck with its airbags deployed.

Police say the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene.

West Grey Police say the registered owner of the vehicle was located and reported the truck had been stolen.

Police say the matter remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have information as to who was driving the vehicle is asked to contact West Grey Police or Crime Stoppers.
