67's Take Game 1 of OHL Final

Ottawa scores five times on power play to cruise past Guelph.

Tye Felhaber and Sasha Chmelevski each scored a pair of goals as the Ottawa 67's toppled the Guelph Storm 7-2 in Game 1 of the Ontario Hockey League championship series Thursday night.

The 67's scored five times on the power play, including three in the third period to pull away.

Noel Hoefenmayer, Marco Rossi and Lucas Chiodo added goals for Ottawa.

Nick Suzuki and Isaac Ratcliffe tallied for Guelph, which fell behind 3-0 before rallying with a pair of second period goals to cut the 67's lead to one.

Michael DiPietro made 37 saves in the win, while Anthony Popovich stopped 19 taking the loss. Guelph outshot Ottawa 39-26 while going 1 for 9 on the power play; the 67's finished 4 for 8.

Game 2 goes Saturday afternoon in Ottawa.
