OHL Playoffs Round-Up

Saginaw, London and Guelph advance

No surprises last night in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

In the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, the Niagara Ice Dogs downed the North Bay Battalion 5-3 to take a 3-1 series lead. Oshawa Generals also went up 3-1 in their series with the Peterborough Petes with a 5-2 victory.

In the Western Conference, the Guelph Storm downed the Kitchener Rangers 5-1, Saginaw got past Sarnia 5-4 in overtime and London defeated Windsor 5-2.

Guelph, London and Saginaw all complete four-game sweeps and are on to the Western Conference semifinals.

The Owen Sound Attack, Sault Saint Marie Greyhounds series is the only one in the west yet to be decided. The Attack will look to stay alive in Game 5 tonight at Sault Saint Marie -- with the Greyhounds up 3-1 in the series.
