Greyhounds take 3-1 series lead

The Owen Sound Attack are up against the ropes after another loss on home ice against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Jordan Sambrook and Morgan Frost each had a pair of goals as the Greyhounds downed the Attack 5-2 in Game 4 of the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference quarterfinal Wednesday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

The Greyhounds lead the series 3-1. Owen Sound will face elimination in Game 5 at Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.

Barrett Hayton also scored for the Greyhounds, which struck twice on the power play in the second period to open up a 4-1 lead.

Brady Lyle and Sergey Popov tallied for Owen Sound.

Matthew Villalta made 24 saves in the win, while Mack Guzda stopped 20 taking the loss.

Owen Sound outshot Sault Ste. Marie 26-25 while going 1 for 2 on the power play; The Greyhounds finished 3 for 8.
