Former Attacker Scores Natural Hat Trick in Steelheads' Win Over Owen Sound

Overager Alan Lyszczarczyk scores three in third period for Mississauga.

A former Owen Sound Attacker returns to help score a win for the Mississauga Steelheads.

Overager Alan Lyszczarczyk recorded a natural hat trick as the Steelheads doubled up the Attack 6-3 Saturday night.

Lyszczarczyk's first goal came at the 10:55 mark of the third period to break a 3-3 tie.

He would score again 1:37 after that goal and an empty-net goal with 10 seconds left in the period.

Mississauga would take a 3-0 first period lead on goals by Thomas Harley, Nick McHugh, and Cole Schwindt (1 goal, 1 assist).

Barrett Kirwin (1 goal, 1 assist) would reply for Owen Sound before the end of the period.

Maksim Sushko (1 goal, 1 assist) scored 13 seconds into the second period to cut Mississauga's lead down to one then Trent Bourque would tie the game at 3-3 at the 9:00 mark.

Liam Ham, Cole Carter, and Aidan Prueter each collected two assists while Jacob Ingham made 25 saves for the Steelheads (20-19-4-1).

Andrew MacLean stopped 28 shots for the Attack (22-18-2-2).

Two of Mississauga's goals came on the power play (on 4 opportunities), Owen Sound did not score on two opportunities with the man advantage.

The Attack have lost their last four (3 in regulation) and play their third game in 3 days when they travel to Kitchener Sunday to take on the Rangers.
