Suzuki, Phillips Among Invitees to Team Canada World Junior Selection Camp

A total of 34 players were chosen by Hockey Canada to attend next week's camp.

Two players from the Owen Sound Attack will be taking part in the Team Canada selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships.

Hockey Canada made the announcement Monday afternoon.

Forward Nick Suzuki and defenseman Markus Phillips are among the 34 players (19 forwards, 12 defensemen, 3 goaltenders) invited to camp.

Phillips will be attending his first camp for Team Canada, it is the second go-around for Suzuki who was a late cut last year.

Camp begins next Monday.

The 2019 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships are taking place in Vancouver and Victoria.

Canada opens the tournament December 26th (Boxing Day) against Denmark.
