It was one of the deadliest Thanksgiving weekends in recent history on OPP-patrolled roads.
There were two triple fatality collisions, one near Port Perry and the other near Guelph.
Police say eight lives were lost in four fatal road incidents.
The OPP also conducted Operation Impact, targeting aggressive, impaired and distracted drivers, as well as failure to wear a seat belt.
Nearly 7,000 charges were laid, mostly for speeding.
And the 10-day Fall Seat Belt Campaign ended Friday with over 24-hundred charges laid.
