The 2018 Minto Cup Junior A lacrosse national championship series resumed yesterday, a day after Game 2 was cancelled because officials refused to take the floor after allegedly being harassed in Game 1.
Reports indicate it took the threat of legal action by tournament organizers to get the referees back out for the rest of the series.
That series may last only one more game, as the Coquitlam Adanacs are now just one win away from lifting the Minto Cup.
They downed the Brampton Excelsiors 8-6 yesterday to take a 2-0 lead in the best of five.
Owen Sound's Brenden Welsh had an assist for Brampton in the loss.
Game 3 of the series goes tonight.
