A Buzzkill for Kings

Orillia | by Ken Hashizume

7 players had multi-point games for Oakville; Hanrahan led with goal and assist for Orillia.

Oakville put a sting on the Orillia Experience Nissan Kings.

The Buzz dominated from start to finish beating the Kings 14-3 on Saturday night in the first game of a home-and-home this weekend.

Ball control was the difference in the game as Oakville (11-3-0) were able to get multiple shots on net in the same possession throughout the game.

That enable the Buzz to build leads of 5-1 after the first period, and 9-3 after the second period.

Marley Angus (3 goals, 3 assists) led the way with 6 points while Henry Follows (5 points) scored four times for the Buzz.

Kyle Kennery (3 goals, 2 assists), Jaden Walcott (1 goal, 4 assists), Adam Wolf (4 assists), Justin Sykes (2 goals, 1 assist), and Gavin Snow (3 assists) all had multi-point games.

The Kings (4-10-0) were led by Cole Hanrahan with a goal and an assist, Jordan Roberts and Noah Landriault also scored for Orillia.

Each team went 1-for-4 on the power play.

The same two teams will meet up Sunday afternoon in Oakville.
