The Vancouver Canucks signed former Owen Sound Attack forward Petrus Palmu to a 3-year, entry-level contract.
Palmu completed his first season with SM-liiga’s TPS Turku, scoring 17 goals & recording 36 points.
Following the season, Palmu was awarded the league's Jarmo Wasama Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year.
Prior to joining TPS Turku, the native of Finland finished fourth in OHL scoring with 98 points (40-58-98) during the 2016-17 season with the Attack.
Over 3 seasons in Owen Sound, Palmu collected 189 points (85 goals, 104 assists) in 176 games.
He also shares the franchise record for career playoff goals with 17.
Palmu was drafted by Vancouver in the 6th round, 181st overall, at the 2017 NHL draft.
