Memorial Cup Round Robin

at Regina

Hamilton Bulldogs 2 Swift Current Broncos 1

Bulldogs 2 Broncos 1

Marian Studenic scored the game winner with just over 2 minutes to play in regulation as the Ontario Hockey League Champion Bulldogs nipped the WHL Champion Broncos.

The loss soiled an outstanding performance by Swift Current netminder Stuart Skinner who made 54 saves in the defeat.

Mackenzie Entwhistle had the opening goal for Hamilton who are 1 & 1 in the Round Robin and have a huge game tonight against undefeated Acadie-Bathurst.

The Quebec League Champion Titan are 2 & 0 and if they win tonight, they'll advance directly to the Memorial Cup Championship Game.

If Hamilton wins tonight, it creates the possibility that the Bulldogs, Titan and host Regina could all finish at 2 & 1.

Colby Sissons had the lone goal for the Broncos who must beat Regina tomorrow night, otherwise the WHL Champions will be eliminated.
