Kings Fall to Indians
Goodchild and Landriault with 5 points in loss.
The Orillia Experience Nissan Kings battled hard against the top team in the Eastern Conference.
But the Akwesasne Indians proved to be too much for the Kings beating them 15-9 Saturday night at Rotary Place.
Lots of scoring in the opening period with each team getting two goals in a span of 52 seconds for a 2-2 tie.
The Kings managed to keep the game close despite getting into penalty trouble resulting in power play goals for the Indians.
With the score 9-6 heading into the third period, Akwesasne scored three times and began to pull the game away from Orillia.
Blaze White (3 goals, 5 assists) and Kainen Francis (1 goal, 7 assists) each had 8 points while Kendrick Angus finished with 3 goals and 2 assists for the Indians (7-1-0).
Tyler Goodchild and Noah Landriault both led the Kings (2-8-0) with a goal and 4 assists while Owen King (4 points) and Trent Boyd (3 points) each scored twice in the game.
The next game for the Kings is Sunday afternoon when they welcome the Kahnawake Hunters to Rotary Place. Game time is 2 PM.
