Rangers Take Game 3 of OHL West Final

Greyhounds now hold 2-1 series lead; Hamilton Bulldogs go for East final sweep tonight

The Kitchener Rangers are on the board in the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference final.

Mario Culina posted a 24-save shutout as the Rangers blanked the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in Game 3 of the West final Monday night in Kitchener.

The Greyhounds lead the best-of-seven 2-1.

Riley Damiani, Kole Sherwood and Nick McHugh provided the offence for Kitchener.

The Rangers held a narrow 1-0 lead after two periods before Sherwood struck early in the third.

Kitchener outshot Sault Ste. Marie 40-24 while going 0 for 2 on the power play; the Greyhounds finished 0 for 3.

Game 4 goes Wednesday night in Windsor.

Eastern Conference Final

Hamilton Bulldogs can secure a series sweep with a win over the Frontenacs in Game 4 at Kingston tonight.

Game time is 7 p.m.
