Gadjovich earns Huron Tractor Player of the Week Award
The Owen Sound Attack has named forward Jonah Gadjovich the team's Huron Tractor Supply Player of the Week after he scored three goals in three contests this past week.
The Vancouver Canucks prospect scored once in each of the Attack's contests against the Erie Otters, Guelph Storm, and Sarnia Sting, bringing him to 23 tallies and 40 total points on the year in 36 games played.
A breakout star in the 2016-17 campaign, Gadjovich has missed a fair amount of time this season with injuries and having been a key part in Team Canada's Gold Medal performance at the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championship. However, that hasn't stopped the Whitby native from contributing both offensively and defensively when he's been in the lineup.
His 23 goals on the year is tied for 4th in Attack scoring, while he is averaging greater than a point per game for the 2nd consecutive season. In 222 career games with the Attack, Gadjovich has scored 87 goals and chipped in with 60 assists for 147 points.
Gadjovich and his teammates will be in action next on Thursday, Mar. 8 when they travel to Barrie to take on the Colts in a 7:30pm contest. Broadcast time is 7 pm for Kia of Owen Sound-Terry's Trailer Service Bearadio.
Owen Sound will play their next home game on Saturday, Mar. 10 against the Saginaw Spirit, also a 7:30pm start. Tickets for the team's remaining three home games are limited, but can still be purchased at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office.
